Kannur University was established in 1995 as ‘Malabar University’. It was later renamed ‘Kannur University’ under the Act 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. The university has received B++ grade from NAAC. Kannur University campus comprises nine campuses at Kannur, Kasaragod, Nileswaram, Mangattuparamba, Mananthavady, Payyannur and Thalassery. Kannur University admissions are done on the basis of CBCS system for UG programmes and PG programmes(government-aided/self-financing/aided). For PG programmes offered by university departments, Kannur University admissions are done through the online centralised allotment process. Admissions are also done on the basis of entrance exams unless specified. After the application process is over, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Kannur University cut off 2023. The cut off of Kannur University for 2023 will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam, eligibility criteria, entrance exams and similar others. Kannur University admissions are done both on the basis of merit as well as on the basis of entrance exams. Kannur University admission to the UG and PG programmes in government/aided/self-financing affiliated colleges are done under the choice-based credit and semester (CBCS) system. Admission to Kannur University UG and PG degree programmes in the university teaching departments/centres will be made on the basis of online centralized allotment. KMAT/CAT/CMAT is the basis of Kannur University admission to MBA course. B.P.Ed.,M.P.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes are not included in the centralized allotment process (CAP). Candidates willing to apply for these programmes shall apply directly to the concerned department once the Kannur University admission notification is out.

Step 1: Trial Allotment | The trial allotment enables the candidate to assess his or her chances of admission to Kannur University. Candidate should be aware that trial selection does not guarantee admission. This allocation occurs after the registration process is completed. |
